ประเทศไทยมีปริมาณขยะมูลฝอยรวม 26.77 ล้านตัน แต่ถูกนำไปกำจัดอย่างถูกต้องเพียง 7.2 ล้านตัน มีขยะมูลฝอยที่ถูกนำกลับมาใช้ประโยชน์อยู่ที่ 5.1 ล้านตัน ในขณะที่ขยะมูลฝอยจำนวน 6.9 ล้านตันไม่ได้นำไปกำจัดอย่างถูกต้อง ส่วนอีก 7.6 ล้านตันคือปริมาณขยะมูลฝอยที่ตกค้างอยู่ในพื้นที่ ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องที่เราต้องมีการบริหารจัดการกันต่อไป ที่สำคัญเป็นมากกว่านั้น คุณรู้หรือเปล่าว่าคนไทยใน 1 วันมีการทิ้งขยะประมาณ 1.1 กิโลกรัมต่อคนต่อวันเลยทีเดียว

เราทุกคนควรเปลี่ยนแนวคิดว่าทะเลเป็นของเรา ทรัพยากรทุกอย่างเป็นของเรา ผลกระทบที่จะเกิดขึ้น มันเกิดมาถึงเราด้วย เมื่อตัวเองเริ่มรู้สึกว่าตัวเองเป็นเจ้าของ ท้ายที่สุด ท่านจะได้เห็นพิษภัยของขยะทะเล ขยะทะเลไม่ได้เป็นพิษภัยเฉพาะกับสัตว์ทะเลเท่านั้น ตอนนี้ไมโครพลาสติกเข้ามาถึงคนแล้ว พิษภัยของขยะทะเลไม่ได้เกิดเฉพาะกับคนที่อยู่ริมทะเล คนที่อยู่เชียงราย แม่ฮ่องสอน น่าน กินอาหารทะเลก็ได้พิษภัยจากขยะทะเลไปด้วย ท่านอยู่ไกลท่านก็สามารถผลิตขยะทะเลลงมาด้วย ทุกคนมีผลกระทบหมด ทั้งเป็นผู้ทำลาย และเป็นผู้ได้รับผลจากการทำลาย

เรื่องของการลดขยะทะเลอยู่ในกลยุทธ์ของเราครับ ชื่อว่า การหยุดก่อมลพิษ (Stop Polluting) คือ การสร้างจิตสำนึกต้องสร้างผ่านการเข้าใจปัญหาของสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยที่ บลูคาร์บอน ต้องการสร้างจิตสำนึกโดยมองว่า การปลูกจิตสำนึกตั้งแต่เด็กเป็นสิ่งที่จะทำให้เขาโตขึ้นไปเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่จะปกป้องสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งขยะทะเลในวันนี้ จริงอยู่ว่าส่งผลกระทบต่อสัตว์ในระบบนิเวศ แต่นอกจากนั้นยังส่งผลอ้อมๆ ถึงคน หรืออาจจะตรงๆ แล้วก็ได้ครับ

เราให้ความสำคัญกับสิ่งแวดล้อมของบริเวณปากแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ซึ่งจะเป็นบริเวณที่สะสมขยะที่ลอยมาจากพื้นที่กรุงเทพฯ ก่อนปล่อยลงสู่ทะเล จัดทำทุ่นดักขยะ หรือที่เรียกว่า บูม จำนวน 250 เมตร บริเวณแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ตั้งแต่ประมาณเดือนกรกฎาคมปีที่แล้ว ถึงปัจจุบัน นับขยะที่เก็บได้ทั้งหมดเกือบ 4,000 กิโลกรัม ขยะที่เราจัดเก็บมาทั้งหมด เรานำส่งไปให้ที่ เทศบาลอำเภอบางน้ำผึ้ง เพื่อให้เขาไปคัดแยก นำไปรีไซเคิล และกำจัดอย่างเหมาะสมต่อไป

Thailand has total waste of 26.77 million tons divided in three; first is  those being eliminated properly equivalent to 7.2 million tons; and those being reused totaled 5.1 million tons.

Second is those managed improperly, around 6.9 million tons. and third is those being kept in the area and has no plan to deal with around 7.6 million tons. This must be managed further. Another important thing is did you know that each day, Thai people produce waste around 1.1 kilogram per day per person.

Changing mindset that sea is ours, all resources are belongs to us,  any negative impact occur will affect our life. When we feel that we are owner of this sea, we finally realize the danger of marine waste that does not hit only marine creatures. Now, micro plastic is affecting human being.

Thus, danger from marine waste does not affected only for those reside by the sea. You who live in Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son or Nan, whenever you consume seafood you are probably affected by marine waste danger. You who live far away also able produce marine waste. We all being hit, We sometimes are destroyers, and those being affected from this.

Blue Carbon Society

Reducing marine waste is one of our strategies called Stop Polluting. This strategy aimed to build awareness thru making understanding of environmental problem. Blue Carbon Society want to build awareness amongst youth, hoping that when young generation grow up they will have mindset to protect environment. Today’s marine waste affected directly marine creature in ecosystem. Apart from this, the marine waste also indirectly affect human being, or may be affected directly too.

M.K. Real Estate Development Public Company

We give importance to the environment especially at the mouth of Chao Phraya river where many waste stuck.Those waste are from Bangkok area and will finally flow to the sea.  We, M.K., then installed Boom, floating waste collecting tool, for the distance of 250 meters in the river.

From July last year till now, we collected total waste of around 4,000 kilograms.

Those waste collected, we presented to Bang Nam Phueng District Municipality

for sorting, recycling and eliminating in a proper way further.
